Finding the perfect design solution for my clients means getting to know them on a personal level as we work together through the design process.  The Luly Yang Couture website offers a way for us to connect initially, and an introduction to some of the possibilities of what we can create together.   

This privacy statement explains what personal information Monarch LYC LLC collects through lulyyang.com (“the site”) and how we use it.  If you have any questions about it, please feel free to ask us by emailing info@lulyyang.com.  We are located at 1218 Fourth Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101.

 

Information we collect and how we use it  

We collect and use your personal information to help us provide the following services to you:

·      Contacting us: You can use our site to send us messages and ask us questions, and in those cases, we’ll collect your name and contact information so we can respond to you. 

·      Scheduling in-person design consultations:  When you use our site to schedule an in-person consultation, we collect your contact information to set up the appointment and to communicate with you about it.  To help us understand your goals for the consultation, we collect information such as the event you are planning for, the event date (so we understand your timeline), and any ideas you have in mind about the design you want us to create. When we meet with you, we will collect more information about your vision, preferences and sizing to customize your design. We may ask for your birthday so we can send you birthday greetings.

·      Buying our ready-to-wear creations:  You can purchase from our Ready-to-Wear collection online.  When you do so, our third-party payment vendors will collect your order and your shipping and billing information.  They share the order and shipping information with us so we can communicate with you about your purchase and send it to you. When you make a purchase, we create an account so you can track your purchases.

·      Signing up for our newsletter:  We offer you several places online to sign up for our newsletter, but we will send it to you only if you elect to receive it. You can always change your mind and opt out of the newsletter by clicking the unsubscribe link when we send it to you, or emailing us at info@lulyyang.com.   

·      Registering for an account: You can create an account online by providing us your name and email address.

·      Submitting a job application: If you send us your cover letter and/or resume, we will review it and contact you if we think there’s a fit.

Other information we collect
When you interact with our site, we may collect certain information to run our site and analyze use of our site, but we do not link it to personal information we have about you:

  • Device information about your computer, browser, mobile device, or other device that you use to access the site, such as IP address, geolocation information and browser type.
  • Analytics and usage information about use of our site. 

Using cookies
Like many websites, we use cookies, which are small text files that are stored on your computer or equipment, and other similar technologies to operate our site and gather data when you visit our site. We may use cookies to monitor traffic, improve the site and make it easier and/or relevant for your use, for example by storing the items in your shopping cart. We use both “session” cookies which expire once you close your web browser, and “persistent” cookies, which usually stay on your computer until you delete them.  

Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but, if you prefer, you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies. The Interactive Advertising Bureau at www.allaboutcookies.org provides information about cookies and how to disable them.

We do not track your browsing history across multiple websites.

Other ways we use your information

In addition to the uses above, we may use your personal information to:

  • Communicate with you about changes to our policies;
  • Perform sales and marketing analyses.

Third-party service providers
We hire service providers to perform certain functions on our behalf, such as web hosting, marketing, technical support, billing, and fraud protection. To perform their services, we may provide them access to the personal information about you they need to perform their functions. 

 

Emergency situations
We also may use or disclose your personal information if we’re required to do so by law or legal process, or in the good-faith belief that it is necessary to (a) protect and defend our rights or property, or our users, or (b) act under emergency circumstances to protect the personal safety of us, our affiliates, agents, or the users of the site or the public.

Keeping your personal information secure
While no company can guarantee absolute security, we take reasonable steps to implement appropriate physical, technical, and organizational measures to protect your personal information.

Storing your information
We keep your personal information to maintain our ongoing relationship with you, and to meet our business needs such as providing you with a service you have requested or complying with applicable legal, tax, or accounting requirements.  You can request that we delete your information by contacting us at info@lulyyang.com.

Assignment
If we change our ownership or sell certain assets associated with our business, we may transfer some or all of your information to the purchasing company. Under such circumstances we would inform the acquiring party that it must use your personal information only for the purposes disclosed in this Privacy Statement. 

Changes to this policy
If we add new services and features that affect this privacy statement, we will update it and post those changes prominently so that you know what information we gather and how we use it.
